Jeffrey Curtis and his team at University of Alabama at Birmingham, Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, are working on a project proposed to mitigate barriers of shared decision between patients and their rheumatologists by creating the bi-directional ”Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)” interface to exchange the information between patients and rheumatologists, improving the rheumatologists’ access to patients, and improving patients’ access to their clinical evaluation. To better understand the needs of their proposed project, and to be able to know what type of data physicians are interested in for EHR integration, they prepared a 7-item survey and ask for our members’ participation. Please kindly take the survey here.
